Amikin is used to treat severe infections caused by certain types of Gram-negative bacteria. This drug is effective in treating cases of bacterial sepsis, including sepsis in newborns, serious infections affecting the respiratory system, bones, joints, central nervous system, as well as skin and soft tissues.
Amikin is also used to treat infections inside the abdomen, and in cases of burns or infections following surgical procedures, including vascular surgeries.
